About Grand Prix Auto Wash
Located at 314 S Main St, Clawson, MI 48017, Grand Prix Auto Wash operates as a car wash serving Clawson in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Clawson, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Michigan, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Grand Prix Auto Wash at (248) 909-6648; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 256 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded car washes in Clawson.
Clawson is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Clawson follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

really good car wash, 1.50$ to vacuum and it took a long time so I was able to vacuum my whole car with time to spare. the washing felt really quick and cost me 6$, I think it's overpriced

I’ve come here a couple times but BEWARE of you use the CC swipe option. They will gauge you. I ran over on my time - about 6 1/2 minutes and you charge me $15!!! Ridiculous! If I run over the first time amount, just charge me another regular full amount which is like $3-4 at any other self wash! What gives? That’s the amount that posted over a week ago. There’s also no alarm to signal your time is ending, it counts up instead of down, and you have to stop it yourself! I was just guessing how much the preset time was for the initial charge. If I go here again I will NOT use my credit card and nor should you.

Well kept up. Not the cheapest at $3 but the amount of time is generally enough for my wash with just pre-wash and rinse. Good pressure.

Machine works well staffed it was a busy day and the card machine wouldn't accept my card employee or owner was right there to reset it and keep everything moving. Normal positive interaction and normally wouldn't post but their was a lady that took longer approx 6 cars to unload and vacuum her car employee checked on her and she became upset and started about bad review so I hope this counter that it's a great place. One shot clean car other angry lady. Hope her day gets better!

One of the few area self service car washes that is well maintained and works as it should. Wash the underside of your vehicle every spring to remove the salt, and you won't have a rust problem, even in Michigan. If you're ambitious, wash under the hood as well, taking care to avoid the air intake, engine computer, and fuse box - the sticky plastic food wrap provides good protection. Pro tip: start with the soap spray and move directly to the wax spray, eliminating the intermediate rinse step.
